POSTed (Post Install Editions) are  Special "Ready for Action" versions of popular operating systems.  They include system and application updates, as well as the majority of the post-setup installations most people perform after installing an operating system on their computer.  Additional popular software alternatives may also be added.

• Chromium Web Browser - a fast/light alternative browser that integrates well with the various google services.  Chromium is the non-branded browser that Google Chrome is created from.
• Cheese is a cheesy program to take pictures and videos from your web cam.
• Dialup Capabilities - GNOME PPP is an easy to use graphical dialup connection configuring and dialing tool with system tray icon support

 

 

 
Because this edition contains software with licensing restrictions, you must read each and every license under the Licensing tab and agree to their terms using the "License Agreements:" drop down selection at the bottom of this listing or else your order can not be processed. Delivered media will contain a "License Agreements" directory on both the root and guest user desktops, as well as in the /boot directory when running the Live Installable DVD. The discs will also contain printing on the label stating that ownership of the disc may not be transferred, nor the included software installed on computers not belonging to you unless the recipient reads and agrees to abide by the license agreements.
 
 
This 32 bit version is on a Live Installable DVD which will run on both 32 and 64 bit PCs.
 

This Live/Installation DVD is unsupported, however the usage of PCLinuxOS is supported via the normal PCLinuxOS channels.

PCLinuxOS contains support for MP3 playback and decoding, support for various other audio formats, Java runtime environment, Flash plugin, LAME (to create compressed audio files), and DVD playback. libdvdcss2 has been included to allow playback of encrypted DVDs. libdvdcss should not be confused with DeCSS.
