Symphony OS is a GNU/Linux based operating system which uses it's own Mezzo desktop environment. It is meant as the ideal solution for the new computer user and as an environment in which even more technical users can feel at home. You will be impressed by it's ease of use and low usage of system resources.

Symphony OS 2007-06 includes;

• Ubuntu Base System - A major change for the project is the move away from the Debian base system to the latest Ubuntu.
• Linux-Live - Symphony OS 2006-12 is shipped as a LiveCD with a  hard drive installer. The LiveCD and Hard Drive installer used are the same systems in use by Ubuntu.
• Multiple Scripting Language support - Some minor changes in the
• Orchestra server code base are going to make a major difference for
• developers. Orchestra applications using the .orc file extension can
• now be written in any scripting language that includes a shebang (#!/usr/bin/something) line.
• Fully Ubuntu Compatible -  All ubuntu 7.10 packages will work!
