About Typodermic ...
Ray Larabie, Typodermic's creator, spent fifteen years as
a video game artist and art
director. He retired from the industry in 2002 to concentrate on making
fonts full-time with his wife, Rina, who runs the business, writes copy
for his website and designs graphics. Says Ray, "Because of my
experience having to use the same few old fonts that
looked awful on-screen, I designed several new fonts that perform
brilliantly on the movie screen, an old
curbside TV, a game console and in print."
With
over 400 font designs under his belt, Ray is able to work with clients
to create custom fonts to their specific needs. Combine that with his
own seemingly endless creativity, Typodermic has produced fonts that
have been used by designers all around the globe. Most recently,
Neuropol X was used in
the Torino 2006 Olympic logo.
